Why We Love This Opportunity
Waterstone is a foundational church in the community of Littleton and is eagerly pursuing what God has next for it coming out of this COVID season. Waterstone is truly a multi-generational church that pursues the missional heart and commission of Jesus as demonstrated in His life and teachings.
If you love infusing modern liturgy and seeking creative and meaningful ways to share the message of Jesus in worship, this may be the position for you!
This is an exciting time to partner with Waterstone Community Church! The three purposes of Worship at Waterstone are:
- Encounter – Worship is to revere and celebrate the Father and adore his Son – the King -by his Spirit, resulting in allegiance and alignment with the Kingdom.
- Formation – Worship is for God to shape and disciple believers – to be transformed and equipped for ministry.
- Gospel – The worship service is a primary entrance for people to meet Christ and to become involved with His Church.
Waterstone is located beside the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Littleton, CO. It is about a 20-minute drive from the heart of Denver and 30 minutes from Boulder. It is sunny nearly 260 days of the year and has the added benefit of being minutes away from hikes into the mountains.
Littleton is home to Arapahoe Community College and the prestigious Denver Seminary, of whom Waterstone has a solid relationship.
Under the leadership of Sarah Lloyd, the Creative Arts Pastor, Waterstone seeks a Worship Leader who will lead dynamic worship experiences for weekend services and special events. The next Worship Leader will have the heart to lead people towards encountering the presence of God while developing and pouring into the worship team. They will have strong musical gifts while being an excellent team player who seeks to do ministry with others.
Corporate worship at Waterstone is an engaging and intergenerational experience.
Waterstone seeks to incorporate liturgy, creative elements, modern worship songs, classic hymns, corporate reading of scripture, and prayer into the gatherings. Weekend gatherings are a time to express praise and thanks to God, be formed into more engaged followers of Christ, and proclaim the Gospel to those who don’t know him. At Waterstone, corporate gatherings are more “active involvement” than “casual observation.” Waterstone seeks to help those who attend, both in-person and online, have a true encounter with Jesus.
Waterstone Community Church is looking for a gifted Worship Leader who has a passion for infusing creativity and modern liturgy into worship!
