There is strong support for the Group Life ministry from the top, and Pastor Greg encourages everyone to get a journal and join a group. A key part of the vision is for The Crossing Church to be a church of life groups… that everyone finds connection and a sense of family in their life group. The team needs a leader who can attract and develop group leaders as well as leverage systems and processes to scale the group life ministry as the church grows.
Church or Org Description
Pastors Greg and Tamara founded The Point Church in 2001, which quickly grew to over 1,000 attendees in just a few years. Later, in 2005 it merged with Crosstown Community to become The Crossing Church, a Spirit-filled, life-giving church based in Tampa, Florida.
Over the past 17 years, The Crossing Church has grown to be the home for over 20,000 people. Campuses have been added in SouthShore and Plant City, Florida to make three vibrant locations. In addition to three physical locations, thousands around the world join us live online every week.
Position Description
The Group Life Pastor is responsible for engaging Crossing Members to join Godly Community through the Group Life ministries at The Crossing Church. The Group Life Pastor is responsible for connecting people at the Crossing to help them grow in their walk with the Lord through Group Life ministries which entail Life Groups, ReEngage, Iron Men, and Sisterhood Studies.
The Group Life Pastor must build his Group Life leaders through cultivating meaningful relationships. The Group Life Pastor is responsible for recruiting, training, and deploying new leaders for Group Life.
