Located just a short drive from both Seattle and Tacoma in Graham, Washington, High Pointe Church has been connecting people in Pierce County to Jesus since 2000. This non-denominational, family-friendly, Bible-teaching church seeks to be a vibrant faith community and safe place to ask questions about following Jesus Christ. Outside the church, High Pointe families are active, enjoying local lakes and mountains and many of the other unique opportunities that the Pacific Northwest offers.

High Pointe Church is a warm and friendly place made up of real people who genuinely love each other. Drawn by practical Bible teaching and driven by a passion for seeing people come to know Jesus, the church has a passion for reaching the community and beyond with the hope of Jesus. In 2005, the church shifted from a seeker-sensitive model to a deeper focus on discipleship, determined to push forward in passionately pursuing the development of a church that is both deep and wide.
As the founding pastor, Kevin Sullivan sets the tone and pace for the church’s overall ministry. Kevin is a collaborative leader who believes that group participation leads to better decisions and more ownership. He likes to have fun and enjoys being around people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
Worship has been a priority at High Pointe from the beginning. High Pointe has remained current with technology and modern worship trends and genuinely desires for its people to grow in their passion and expression of worship. Weekend services are warm and welcoming, and the planning and execution of services are intentional with a high standard of excellence.
Position Description
High Pointe Church is a well-respected church with a worship ministry poised and ready for strong leadership that will help take it to the next level. Former worship leadership has set the pace and teed up the next leader for ministry success. There is a consensus among staff and volunteers to see the church maintain loving and caring relationships and musical excellence while expanding its reach in leadership, creativity, and passionate worship.
While the congregation is currently embracing the interim leadership of the former Director of Worship Arts and others, there is a growing desire to find a Director of Worship Arts who can lead and develop the worship ministry into a creative, vibrant, and passionate ministry of the church.
Building on the foundation of the past, the church is looking for a leader in worship who can partner with Pastor Kevin and the existing staff to lead and shepherd the people of High Pointe well and support the vision and values of the church—a Director of Worship Arts to equip and teach passionate worship, maintain strong biblical standards in life and ministry and operate with a heart for the ministry within the local community and beyond.
