Christ Community Church is a fantastic non-denominational church with a heart to make a difference in their community of Tucson, Arizona. This church is incredibly healthy and poised for growth with a long-tenured team of executive leaders. They have one debt-free campus in East Tucson, and they are known in the community for their solid Biblical teaching, excellent music program, and engaging kids and student ministries. Christ Community Church is excited for a new Children’s Pastor to join the team and pour into and grow the dedicated team of leaders currently serving in Kids Ministry.
Christ Community Church is in East Tucson, AZ, renowned for its dry, warm climate. Located in a valley with four mountain ranges surrounding the city, the Santa Catalina Mountains offer opportunities for camping, fishing, hiking, and limited skiing…all within an hour’s drive of the city. Most of the staff at CCC has fairly long tenures at the church because they truly feel like family and love serving the people of Tucson together.
Position Description
The Children’s Ministry at Christ Community Church exists to assist the family in developing a devoted follower of Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, unconditional love, and a Godly example. It cares for kids from birth-5th grade, utilizing several different programs to impact and train them with the Word of God. The Children’s Pastor will have the opportunity to cast a fresh vision for what the Kids Ministry should be heading into the future and build teams that pour into kids and families.
CCC is looking for candidates with a thriving relationship with the Lord, a volunteer magnet, and someone comfortable and equipped to minister to the whole family – not just the kids. They also highly value a strong team player, someone with a biblical philosophy of Children’s Ministry, and a proven track record of selecting, training, and empowering lay leaders to accomplish ministry objectives.
